Bryan and his team did a great job on our lawn. We bought the house as a foreclosure and the lawn had been neglected for years prior to our purchase. We didn't really have a lawn, we had more weeds than lawn. Bryan Sallmen helped cater a program to fix and bring our lawn back to life. His prices were great, and only required 4 treatments compared to the 12 treatment quote I received and the price was approximately 40% cheaper than true green. Bryan and his team killed all the weeds and brought life back to my yard, the grass was green after the first treatment and all the weeds were killed. Bryan and his crew are the best. They installed my lawn two years ago and have stood behind their guarantee. Last year was my first full season and it filled in thick! I am so happy that I found them for my new lawn installation. I get compliments on it all the time. Their price was sooo much cheaper than sod or hydroseed and the end result is just as good. Recently, a local competitor had door-to-door salesman who offered what was presumably a cheaper, but equal service. I’ve been using Lawn Doctor services now for roughly 6-7 years, my lawn has improved drastically. It was a total mess filled with crabgrass and other non-grass like weeds. It’s definitely coming together, it’s thick, full, and GREEN. I recently put down some top soil, over-seeded, and put down straw over about 2/3’s of my front lawn. Lawn doctor came Monday for spring treatment. The technician noticed immediately. After fertilizing the majority of the lawn, he went back and spread by hand in between the areas that have gone under “improvement”. The sense of awareness, care, and proper training, with a doubt display themselves. I highly recommend Lawn Doctor, I will not use anyone else. ~ Ken M

We love having the lawn service. We would always fertilize the lawn ourselves. We had to purchase and keep track of all the different applications which was frustrating, expensive and time consuming! Now, we get a phone call when they come out for each application. Price has gone up minimally from our initial start 5 years ago, however, we are notified prior to start of season and have the choice to continue or cancel. We have remained customers and it is well worth it! Side note: as a customer, you do have the option to pay all up front or pay after they come out to service your lawn. I have used this service for many years and they have always been great! If I had a question about my lawn they took the time to come out and see the issue then help repair in a timely manner! I love that they pick up, maintenance and return my mower every year too! They make everything simple and for a great price! Their employees are very kind and I like they put a service note when they were at my home detailing what they did, then follow up with an email. I just transitioned to the Lawn Doctor after a recommendation from a good friend. After the first service I knew it was a good move. The technician spent more time applying the treatment than I had previously experienced and was much more strategic about overlapping the coverage. We noticed a remarkable difference in our lawn after just one treatment. I was even more impressed when they showed up for the next service but chose not to do it because of too many leaves down. So far so good. I called Lawn Doctor and they responded quickly and visited my property with a "plan" to get my lawn in shape. The price was within reason so I agreed to try for a season. I must say, my yard is attached to my neighbor's yard and they opted to care for their lawn on their own. In one season my yard already looks healthier while theirs continues to struggle. Before Lawn Doctor, I had another well known franchised weed & lawn pest control service that burned large patches of my lawn with one of their their treatments. When I repeatedly asked them to fix these areas, no one called me back with a solution or an apology -until it was time to renew my service. I’ve had lawn doctor for two years now and I have no complaints. They arrive when they say they will - so I can keep my dogs inside, their products work well to keep weeds at bay and they haven’t burned my lawn. ~ Susie F

Have always did all my own yard care. This year I had Bryan and the crew come out and quote for power seeding about 3/4 of an acre and treat the grass I already had. Not only was the quote fair but very informative. They always keep us updated and were very professional and respectful. Even with the covid happening they always kept in touch to keep us up to date. Have used Lawn doctor for two seasons now, and my lawn looks the best it has ever been! I had always thought I could just take care of the lawn myself but then I would never have time to fertilize or know which kind to apply at the right time. Now I don't have to worry about it. The guys come out, apply when needed & then leave a note on the door with any suggestions as to watering or mowing height. I spend a lot of time outdoors, especially this year, so it has been a pleasure to enjoy my lawn! ~ Michelle W

Lawn Dr Portage originally seeded our yard back in 2014 and we have been using their maintenance service since then. The quality of the seeding and the services provided is exceptional. Our lawn looks fantastic and the only maintenance I have to do is to mow it. I am biased, but I think our lawn is the best looking lawn in our neighborhood! Lawn Doctor has turned my lawn from clover, crab grass, and straggly grass to a soft green carpet to the lake. I used to do all the lawn applications myself, but Lawn Doctor obviously does it better. Not only have they successfully controlled the weeds and nurtured the grass, they have shown up as promised and have been quick to respond to my questions and concerns. We have been using the lawn doctor of Kalamazoo now for going on 3 years. We switched from another local company in town and feel not only the level of customer service has much improved and the techs are very personable and knowledgeable. Most importantly we have noticed much improvement in our lawn quality!! Lawn Doctor put in my lawn in 2014 and have maintained it every year. It looks great! The staff that does the spraying/spreading are efficient and friendly. The owners return calls immediately with any questions. I ask about a service and the owner told me why the outcome wasn't worth the cost instead of just doing it...that is knowledge but, even more, it shows integrity. My lawn was not looking very good. I tried and tried to get a good lawn going. A visit to the home show in Kalamazoo and two applications as promised and my lawn is looking amazing! I called Lawn Doctor because I had some creeping Charlie vines growing in the middle of my nice lawn which I've never had a problem with. Since the treatment, I am noticing a difference already. We purchased our home 2 years ago and the first year there were lots of weeds and the lawn didn't look very good. We decided to try Lawn Doctor this past spring and are VERY pleased with the results. I was extremely satisfied with the response and the low pressure sails quote. The gentleman that came to my house in the rain could not have been anymore helpful and professional. With that being said the hour long sails call that I had with true green trying to sell me everything on the shelf. Before they even saw my lawn was awful ~ CC W

Lawn Doctor consistently keeps my lawn healthy and weed free. It looks and feels great. Yes I do occasionally take my shoes off to enjoy that great feel on the toes.
